50th Anniversary Reunion at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth - 5th January 2003. Forty five members and their wives gathered for a day of celebration. Photos supplied by Hugh Simpson.

Series 17 pre-Centenary Celebrations - March 2003. On the Thursday night prior to the Centenary Celebrations, twenty five members of Series 17 held a sequel dinner to their 50th anniversary celebrations held in January. This was held to allow for those members not available to make it in January to meet up with classmates prior to attending the main events on the Friday and Saturday. Photos supplied by Hugh Simpson.

Series 17 Joint Golden Wedding Celebration on HMS Warrior - 24th June 2008. Eight members of Series 17 got married in 1958. Fifty years later they got together again, with their wives aboard HMS Warrior to celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversaries.

60th Anniversary Reunion at HMS Excellent, Portsmouth - 24th March 2013. The Diamond Reunion in March 2013 was the 11th Reunion Series 17 had held since the Golden Reunion at the Mountbatten Centre on the 4th January 2003, and the 5th one to be held at H.M.S.Excellent. Over the years by mutual consent the date has been changed to March in order to allow travelling conditions to be easier, with better weather conditions and lighter evenings. As always, when the group met there was a great deal of "catching up" to be done. Sixty four attended, made up of husbands & wives, with some who were unaccompanied. Over the years the group has varied according to people's domestic commitments and in fact there was only one member and his wife who hadn't made it before - all were delighted to greet John & Merle Fisher from Wales. The Air Artificers, in particular, have been a stalwart bunch having their Air Reunion on the Saturday evening before joining the main body on the Sunday morning. We had an excellent lunch at H.M.S. Excellent, followed by a relaxed afternoon of chat, photographs taken, and a chance to look at photos from the past. All to soon it was time to say good bye. An amazing, happy occasion celebrating 60 years of friendships formed as youths, which were eagerly renewed. Photos supplied by Bob Tuckey.
